What does NASM Certified mean?

The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certification:
NASM certification means the most to sports professionals, club owners and fitness department managers because it requires comprehensive knowledge of human movement science, functional anatomy, physiology and kinesiology, as well as functional assessment and program design.
Today there are more than 300 certifications available to sports medicine, performance enhancement, and fitness professionals. But only the NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certification uses the Optimum Performance Training (OPT™) method, making it the gold-standard for health and fitness professionals.
Accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), the NASM-CPT certification is the preferred choice for hire and career advancement by all of the top health clubs.
